A Case of a Large, Painful Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans Arising from a Traumatic Scar

Here we report a case of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) that presented originally to the emergency department with chief complaint ‘chest pain arising from chest wall mass’. This is unique for multiple reasons including fact DFSP caused this patient severe radiated site mass patient’s back. The lesion originated traumatic scar had obtained following car accident two years prior presentation. In addition, was significantly larger in size than what has typically been reported literature. illustrates potential present atypical features.
